Allegro in C for clavier
sorted in:
Like KV 649, the Allegro in C, KV 650 has been preserved in a manuscript keyboard tutor from Salzburg that only came to light in 2005. It is attributed to “Wolffgango Mozart”. The provenance of the manuscript and the form of the author’s name make Mozart’s authorship of this composition very likely. It appears to be a keyboard reduction of an orchestral part. The extensive use of petites reprises, i.e. repetitions of short sections, is unusual.
