Concerto movement in A for clavier and orchestra
sorted in:
K. 488c is one of three attempts Mozart made before he found the final theme for the final movement of the Piano Concerto in A, K. 488.
The fragment breaks off after 20 bars. It is the beginning of a playful rondo movement. The movement was perhaps discarded because Mozart did not want to have two movements in the unusual 6/8 meter for reasons of variety and balance within a piano concerto.
