Divertimento in B flat for clavier, violin and violoncello
sorted in:
Mozart composed a considerable number of works featuring a leading piano part, including nearly 20 sonatas and variation sets for piano and violin (see Work Group 23). Of the remaining works, most are scored for piano with violin and cello. As the title "Sonata for Piano with an Accompaniment of…" clearly indicates, Mozart did not aim for equal treatment of the instruments. He also wrote a trio with clarinet and viola (K. 498), two quartets for piano and string trio (K. 478 and K. 493), a highly individual quintet for piano and four wind instruments (K. 452), and an Adagio and Rondo with glass harmonica (K. 617).
