Part songs are non-contrapuntal musical settings for multiple voices, sometimes with keyboard or other instrumental accompaniment. Mozart composed only a small number of part songs, mainly for private occasions in Vienna. The songs used in Masonic celebrations lie somewhere between solo songs and part songs, as only the final lines are sung or repeated by a male chorus.
