Solos for violin
sorted in:
Some now lost Solos for violin are mentioned in Leopold Mozart’s list of the works that his son Wolfgang composed between the ages of 7 to 12 years among “diverse solos” (“Verschiedene Solo”). It remains unclear whether they were intended for one soloist or required continuo accompaniment. While some of the solos from the list were included in KV3–6 as KV 33a–b, the violin solos were assigned a number, KV 640, only in 2024.
